Mark Sanders

Mark is managing director of Third Ecology - a multi disciplinary firm focusing on sustainability as a core value through the areas of architecture, construction management and sustainability advice and ratings.

Third ecology projects have been consistent winners and finalists in a range of awards - including recent wins for Sustainable Home of the Year in the Adobe awards, as well as a National Trust heritage award for a contemporary addition to a listed heritage property.

Projects range from single and multi residential (most of which are constructed by Third Ecology), to larger education, community and tourism based facilities.

Sustainablity advice and ratings for private, community, business and government clients is becoming an increasingly significant and integral element of the overall service mix offered by Third Ecology.

Third Ecology currently employ 12 staff (full and part time), and in 2009 refurbished a "D" grade office space into a highly sustainable, healthy office environment to enabled growth to up to 20 staff into the future.

Mark is also a Chamber of Commerce Director, a commitee for Geeling baord member and a member of the Deakin University Architecture + Building Advisory Board.
